Meet Ewert "The Lip" Nene Co- Founder of Kaizer Chiefs RIP : Ewert "The Lip" Nene ( 25 October 1943 - 10 August 1976 ) Kaizer Chiefs Pro, Co - Founder & Team Manager. Anybody who knows the history of Kaizer Chiefs would have heard of the man they referred to as "The Lip".He was called this because he used to drive slowly around the townships with a megaphone promoting Kaizer Chiefs games.He was a "Pro" for Kaizer Chiefs in the early years and was largely left to manage the team when Kaizer Motaung was away playing in America.He guided the club in the early years and was instrumental in Kaizer Chiefs' glory days as he will go and scout talent in the townships.He is responsible for bringing the best of the best to the team among others Patrick "Ace" Ntsoelengoe.On the 10th of August 1976 he went to Kwa-Thema in Springs to negotiate a transfer at the Dladla household.The transfer was successful, he crammed Nelson "Teenage"
