Abdelhamid Sabiri injury update

صورة
Injury: Broken collarbone Picked up: vs AFC Bournemouth (4/12/18) Expected return (approx.): Early February 2019 What the boss said: "This is very, very unlucky for him and I feel for him. "Even if he has had to work very, very hard to get his chances and his opportunity, he never stopped working. "He got his reward with the Germany Under 21 call up and he got his reward by coming back into our squad to get his minutes. "Unfortunately it was for a very, very short time before he got this serious injury, so he is anything but lucky. "We will give him all the support now so that he can recover as quickly as he can, and that he comes back in very good shape."

Mamelodi Sundowns Club History

صورة
Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club originated from Marabastad, a cosmopolitan area North West of the Pretoria CBD. The club was originally formed in the early 1960s by a group of youngsters, among whom were Reginald Hartze, Joey Lawrence and Bernard Hartze, and it became an official football club in 1970. The club was affiliated to the Federation Professional Football League in 1973 and in the same year reached the finals of the Coca-Cola Cup, where they played against Berea United and lost 5–3. In 1978, the Federation Professional Football League threw their weight behind the then National Professional Football League. This meant the end of the Federation Professional Football League and the subsequent relegation of Sundowns to the second division. For five years 'Downs battled to gain promotion and during that period the Sundowns' management resolved to disband the club, but instead the club relocated to Mamelodi in the early 1980s. In 1985 South African football was th

Huddersfield Town Preview for Arsenal Clash

صورة
Huddersfield Town will be looking to respond  with all three points when they face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium Since reviving their season with seven points from the nine on offer in November, Huddersfield have come crashing back down to earth with back-to-back losses. The Terriers dragged themselves out of the relegation zone by seeing off Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers, either side of a draw against West Ham United, but that momentum has since been killed off by Brighton & Hove Albion and Bournemouth. David Wagner felt that his side were unlucky not to take anything from their midweek trip to the Vitality Stadium, and the popular German boss certainly had a point. Town were undone by some poor defending in the first half, conceding to goals from Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser, but Terence Kongolo dragged them back into the game before half time and only a lack of cutting edge prevented them from earning a point. That lack of killer instinct in front of goal is

Mamelodi Sundowns match against lions report

صورة
When they drew a team from Equatorial-Guinea in the preliminary round of the Caf Champions League, Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane bemoaned that other South African teams had drawn fishermen. But Sundowns made a light meal of Leones Vegetarianos (translated as Vegetarian Lions), completing a 7-1 aggregate thrashing with Wednesday night's 5-1 second-leg stroll at at Loftus Versfeld. Jeremy Brockie in the fourth minute and Gaston Sirino with a penalty in 18th put Downs 2-0 up. Seydou Sall pulled one back in the 46th, but it was a lonely reply to Downs' continued onslaught by Hlompho Kekana (55th), Jose Ali Meza (60th) and Lyle Lakay (86th). Vegetarianos were all over the place like a mixed salad in the first half, and could easily have gone to the break more than 2-0 down. By the fourth minute, Sundowns had a lead. They opened Leones like a can opener to a tin of beans. Themba Zwane, on the right of the box, passed inside to find the run of Sirino, who squared again

"I don't think Equatorial Guinea's Leones could easily score three here. I don't say they can't score three, but I think we have a goal here on Wednesday," Mosimane said. "We have a goal. I don't think they can score four goals against us. It will be naughty [of us]." "Laffor is ready, he is fit. Unfortunately I wanted to throw him [on against SuperSport United in Sunday's Tshwane derby] on in the last 10 minutes but we were worried by crosses and set-pieces, hence we put in Wayne Arendse." Mosimane, however, is without first-choice goalkeeper Denis Onyango (knee) through injury, as well as Brazilian defender Ricardo Nascimento (hip), out-of-favour winger George Lebese (knee) and striker Thokozani Sekotlong (ankle). Midfielder Tiyani Mabunda also faces a la
