The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have chosen Egyptian referee, Gehad Greisha, to officiate Mamelodi Sundowns' game against Al-Hilal. Al Hilal of Sudan have safely landed in South Africa. Therefore, as it stands, Saturday's CAFCL match against Mamelodi Sundowns will be played as scheduled in Pretoria. Al Hilal Omdurman is the most successful club in Sudan (27 league and 7 cup titles). Hilal is ranked the 7th best club in Africa according to the recent club rankings. They have participated 34 times in the CAFCL, reaching group stages 13 times, passing to 7 semifinals and reached 2 finals but they unfortunately lost both those CAFCL finals. Historically, Mamelodi Sundowns defeated Al Hilal 1-0 before losing 4-2 in the away leg resulting in a 4-3 aggregate elimination in the 2008 CAFCL. Their "noticable" victories in their last 15 CAFCL campaigns include, defeating ES Sahel (1-0), TP Mazembe (1-0; 1-0 & 2-0), Al Ahly (3-0), Esperance (2-0 & 2-0), Raja AC (1-0) and Zamelek (2-0). In terms of form, in their last 10 matches Hilal have won 7, drawn 3 and lost 0. News coming in is that Al Hilal of Sudan have asked CAF to either postpone or set a neutral venue outside South Africa for Saturday's match against Mamelodi Sundowns due to South African COVID-19 new strain fear.

Breaking News: CONFIRMED CAF rejected Al Hilal's request to postpone/set a neutral venue for Saturday's match. CAF assured Al Hilal that the South African government implemented a hard lockdown and adopted several health measures to control the spread of COVID19. However, CAF approved Al Hilal's request to replace South African referees (Victor Gomes, Zakhele Siwela and Athenkosi Ndongeni) who were going to be incharge of Al Hilal vs TP Mazembe match because they fear that they might influence the outcome of the match in favour of fellow South Africans (Mamelodi Sundowns). Al Hilal of Sudan have safely landed in South Africa. Therefore, as it stands, Saturday's CAFCL match against Mamelodi Sundowns will be played as scheduled in Pretoria.

Sundowns vs Al Hilal( Caf Champions League ) . This is the stage Sundowns have been practising for since the season started. I know some people will say coaches should give this guy a run, he did well in the previous game. . The starting line-up for this game would be the work which has been done thus far. 3-4-3 has been very profitable this season and we all noticed Sundowns were a bit shaky if Coetzee is not on the line-up of the 3-4-3 system. . There's also another type of a 3-4-3 which included Mvala which had lot's of draws into it but what I saw with that system Sundowns played a great tactical game where an opponent couldn't move easily but we also didn't move quite well ourselves, Mvala&Onyango were real beasts in the air. . I can say that formation will suit well when Sundowns play away games with tough opponents "Only" not just any opponent. That system is good at keeping low scores or keeping the game even. .

According to some media reports from Sudan, Sudan Premier League giants Al Hilal Omdurman  is lining up US$4 million for the signature of Mamelodi Sundowns forward Gaston Sirino. Al Hilal  is planning to outbid Al Ahly SC  who already offered US$3 million for the Uruguayan. Gaston Sirino failed to pitch up for Mamelodi Sundowns training on Monday following the club's order for him to focus on his job.
